Feng shui rules for modelling your kitchen

Feng shui rules are applicable in all the different rooms of your home and office, including the kitchen. And according to kitchen feng shui, if you are building a new home, it is not advisable to place the kitchen near the front door.

This is because this only suggests eating problems. Instead, work at minimizing the kitchen’s impact on entering the home by perhaps placing a door or screen to block most of the kitchen from the front door.

If blocking the kitchen is difficult in your home, then kitchen feng shui suggests diverting guests’ attention from the kitchen, to some other thing in the room. Suggestions are a water fountain, some art piece, sculpture or anything interesting to the guests.

Basically, kitchen floor plans are triangular based, even in kitchen feng shui. While arranging your kitchen appliances, the fire elements like stove and microwave should be apart from water elements like dishwasher, sink and refrigerator. Separation can be arranged with wood or plants.

As the kitchen stove represents health and wealth, all its burners have to be used. Use the stove more than the microwave as kitchen feng shui does not support a hurried atmosphere.
